Interesting是形容词，假如要用interesting应该用an interesting place。A place of interest的意思是令人关心的地方，而并不是说有趣的地方。虽然很多的时候可以用A place of interest来讲名胜古迹景点这种地方，可是我也可以说Beijing is a place of great interest to me because my son lives there. 比较合适的翻译应该是“我关心北京因为我的儿子住在那”。
