“cold shoulder”不能解释为“冷肩膀”

【例句】I saw my best friend on the campus today and said hello to him, but he gave me a cold shoulder as if he never knew me.【误解】今天在校园里我见到了我最好的朋友，我跟他打招呼，但是他却给了我一个冷肩膀，就像他从来不认识我似的。

【正确】今天在校园里我见到了我最好的朋友，跟他打招呼，但是他看都不看我，就像从来不认识我一样。

【说明】cold shoulder在口语中经常与give，turn或get等搭配，表示“不友善”、“讨厌”或“蔑视”。

它也可以用连字符连接，作动词用。

例如：He cold-shouldered me when we passed each other in the street. 我们在街上相遇时，他对我很冷淡。
